NGAL Rapid ELISA Kit
NGAL (neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin) is a new early marker for acute kidney injury. NGAL levels rise within 2 hours after injury and has been used to assess patients after cardiac surgery,renal transplantation and procedures involving the use of i.v. contrast media. Our CE-IVD-marked NGAL Rapid ELISA Kit measures human NGAL in urine, plasma or serum. The positive predictive value for acute renal failure is over 90%.
New addition to our NGAL product range: Anti-NGAL (dog) antibody pair
The new monoclonal antibodies ABS 047-14 and ABS 047-17 can be used to detect NGAL in dogs and have the ability to form an ELISA sandwich pair with ABS 047-17 as the capture antibody and biotinylated ABS 047-14 (ABS 047-14B) as the detection antibody.
Dogs are commonly used in biomedical research studies especially in the field of safety/efficacy testing of pharmaceuticals.
These antibodies can be used when measuring NGAL as a kidney biomarker in toxicological studies of drug candidates.

A new addition to our NGAL portfolio: Anti-NGAL (pig) antibody pair
BioPorto Diagnostics is happy to announce the launch of a new and unique antibody pair, for the detection of the NGAL analogue molecule in pigs.
Mouse monoclonal antibodies ABS 048-13 and ABS 048-17 can be used to measure NGAL in pigs and the antibodies have the ability to form a sandwich pair when ABS 048-17 is used as the capture antibody and biotinylated ABS 048-13 (ABS 048-13B) is used as the detection antibody.
NGAL is the earliest biomarker for acute kidney injury (AKI) in humans. Pigs are widely used as models for human disease and experimental surgery, and are also being increasingly used in pharmacological research. The measurement of pig NGAL promises more sensitive detection of renal injury in pigs, whether in surgical procedures or nephrotoxicity testing of drug candidates.
